In life you come across many types of people, but there are those few who upon meeting, you immediately feel their radiant energy. Dawn Pye is one of
those people. I recently attended her 40th mid morning soirée, which confirmed to me that I'm not the only one who feels this way. There were 30 to 40 women (maybe more) in attendance and the parking, to say the least, was scarce.
The party was like something from the pages of Martha Stewart, REALLY! It was set in a magnificent Highland Park, IL home, complete with original moldings and elegant wallpaper. The tables were all adorned with fine china tea sets; clusters of short-stemmed pink roses; tier trays of home made scones & pastries with jam in milky, white collectable bowls. (How's that for a run-on sentence?) No table was set alike! It truly deserves to be documented and go down as an appropriate event for one very special lady.
Those of us, who have shared tea with Dawn, know that her creativity is contagious. She has partnered off with Sherry Levin and started Style Shack Gifts. The products sold are mostly hand made, by themselves or local artist. The beauty and elegance of the products are a reflection of who Dawn is.
